Future of Minneapolis Lyndale Farmers Market

The Minneapolis Farmers Market has been a staple of the community for nearly 100 years. With a future light-rail stop planned and many opportunities affecting the neighborhood, the City of Minneapolis contracted with UrbanWorks Architecture to conduct a site analysis. This includes a study of options of how to preserve, improve, enhance, and re-envision the Farmers Market. UrbanWorks is seeking input from surrounding neighborhoods, farmers, merchants, and local residents in the planning process. The City envisions options for redeveloping and expanding the Farmers Market to serve as a catalyst for economic development, a food and entertainment destination, and a civic landmark in Minneapolis.
