Master Recycler/Composters are trained on waste prevention, recycling and composting through an extensive six week course that features industry experts and field trips to local waste processing and recycling facilities.

The Isanti County Substance Abuse Prevention and Recovery Coalition will host a series of forums throughout the county over the next few months. Their “Let’s smoke out the truth about e-cigs and other tobacco products” presentation will feature an in-depth look at the effects of tobacco products and the marketing of new products to specific age demographics – teens.

Safe Routes to School 2018 Golden Snow Boot Award
Each Winter Walk to School Day Minnesota Safe Routes to School asks participating schools to submit stories and photos of their event to compete for the MnSRTS Golden Snow Boot Award. This year’s submissions were full of great photos and stories of students all over the state getting out, being active and having fun in the cold.

On St. Patrick’s Day, customers can ride free from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. on all Metro Transit routes – buses, METRO lines and Northstar. Simply hop on and take a seat for free.
